Just looking for the Top Auctions?

eBay is the world's largest marketplace, and for good reason. Just about anything you're looking for can be found on eBay from everyday household items to rare and unique collectibles. At any time, there are several million auctions in progress for virtually anything that can legally be bought and sold. It's the world's largest store, by far.

Out of those several million auctions are at least several thousand in progress every day that can truly be called amazing. Maybe the seller has something you never thought was worth a nickel, maybe something you threw away once. Maybe it's offering a business opportunity that is just perfect for you. Maybe it's just so humorous and outrageous you find it hard to believe that anyone would bid on it, yet it has 82 bids and three days left and is up to several hundred dollars.

Or maybe you're an eBay seller yourself and wonder how people can come up with such incredible ideas to market their stuff. What is it that makes a "top auction"? What is it that helps hundreds of thousands of people earn a good full time income working from their home computer selling stuff at auction? What is it that separates their success from your dreams?

We're here to help. We're online every day hunting down the bizarre, the cool, the almost unbelievable, the inspiring top auctions. Some can be found easily by just clicking on the category or categories you're interested in. Some are a bit tougher to find, but when you do find them, you've found either a way to brighten your day with a laugh, or often a lesson in success.

On this site we've organized easy methods to find two different types of "top auctions". The top auctions based on current bid price are just that. For each category, we bring you the highest values at the current moment. Bear in mind, though, that some of the items are just people looking to feed their ego, selling jelly toast that refuses to land jelly side down for a million dollars, for example. But if you find a high priced auction with some bids, you've found something really special.

Our other type of top auction is the "most watched" auction type. When you look at an auction, if you're logged into eBay, you have the opportunity to add the listing to your watch list. Then you can follow that auction easily from your "My eBay" page without having to search for it again. eBay keeps track of how many people put an auction in their watch list, and the auctions being watched the most are theoretically pretty special. In many cases, that's true, but in some cases sellers find ways to manipulate the watch list, sometimes by having multiple user id's of their own, a lot of friends that put the auction on the watch list, or by sometimes using tricks to get you to click on a link to track the auction.

In any event, by monitoring the category or categories you're intersted in, and regularly looking at the top auctions of both types, you'll get an idea of what eBay buyers are looking for. If you have that kind of item, or can find a source for them, you could easily succeed as a seller.
